SUDAN
Since the coup d'état of 25 October 2021, which disrupted the fragile transition to democracy in Sudan, the country has been hit by almost weekly demonstrations with the sole aim of re-establishing the transition to civilian rule.
The heavy repression put in place by the ruling junta has already left a hundred pro-democracy demonstrators dead and hundreds arrested. These acts are strongly criticised by the international community, which is calling for a return to civilian rule.
In order to have a synthetic vision of the transitions that this East African country has experienced, STRATEGIES! provides you with a basic study called "Understanding the Political Transition in Sudan".
